Andy Green

From: Kent, UK

Background:

Andy's career has always been underpinned with creativity, all the way back to art, design and graphics at school until he launched his business Spaceman Creative Studio almost 10 years ago. Wildlife photography is an extension of that desire to keep his brain moving and inspired. He likes to add a bit of flair to his work and being from Kent, often shooting pictures of everyday animals it comes in very handy when trying to stand out! That need to create and do something a little different, coupled with his love of the great outdoors has also manifested itself in producing designs such as the "Found in the Wild" emblem.

What's Andy up to?:

At the age of 40, Andy gave himself a challenge to work full time in wildlife alongside his creative business and with only a few years left, he's getting there! He runs photography editing workshops in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop; he produces camera-related gear such as the Camera Perch Hide plate system; he built and maintains wildlife photography hides in Kent as well as co-host The WildX Podcast where he, Adam Juckes and Mike Phelps discuss all things nature, photography and mental health with some absolutely incredible guests. So you could say he keeps himself very very busy but it's such a joy. Inspiring people, helping them develop their photographic and creative skills or just hearing what the podcast has done for their mental health keeps him going and he loves it.

Andy Green blends a lifelong love of creativity with a passion for the wild. As the founder of Spaceman Creative Studio, his work spans design, photography, and nature-inspired projects like the “Found in the Wild” emblem. Based in Kent, Andy captures the beauty of everyday wildlife with a distinctive flair. He also co-hosts The WildX Podcast, builds hides, leads editing workshops, and creates camera gear—all part of his mission to work full-time in wildlife while helping others connect with nature through creativity.

Andy's Work

Andy describes his style as "un-Googlable"! with a cheeky grin because, of course, you can find pretty much anything you like online - but he always aims to do something different: a photo that stands out, a photo that is much harder to find on Google than the average. He loves colour, contrast, detail and impact - and also loves capturing a moment, a look or the personality in his subject.

Andy's inspiration really comes from the subject itself and how he felt in the moment, not necessarily what the scene looked like exactly, but what emotion it evoked for him at the time.

Andy on Conservation & Sustainability:

At the heart of Andy's work is the belief that photography can be a quiet force for change. By telling visual stories of local wildlife he hopes to spark curiosity, connection, and care for the natural world. He focuses on species and habitats in the UK, showing that conservation isn’t just happening in remote rainforests: it’s in our rivers, verges, and back gardens. As my work in wildlife continues he hopes to work with more brands like Rewild at Heart to help protect local ecosystems.

Andy says this is a tough one as there are animals he hasn't seen in the wild yet that he know would blow his mind. Robins have always played a big part in his photographic journey so are special to him, "but perhaps the most amazing animal I have spent time with is the Otter. For anyone who has sat and watched them or been lucky enough to photograph them like I have, you'll know just how magical they are."

Shop Otter

"This is an easy one! it's the Isle of Mull, Scotland. Magic probably doesn't do it justice to be honest, it's hard to explain. As you step off the ferry onto the island there is an immediate sense of calm and anticipation." Andy says the island is full of life and if you are very lucky you will catch a glimpse of otters and of course some of the incredible birds of prey such as the golden eagle and white-tailed eagle. "It's a beautiful place to spend time and I couldn't recommend it enough."

Andy's Recommendation:

Andy has taken this opportunity to shamelessly plug the first design contribution with Rewild at Heart - his fantastic "Found in the Wild" tee. Featuring an adorable yet slightly grumpy-looking owl (as they so often are!) and his slogan with a double meaning: Andy can most often be literally find in the wild; and much like Ray & Paul, he believes in people's ability to find oneself and their calling in the wild.

Get Found in the Wild!

Why work with Rewild at Heart?

"Why not! Being local to me is so important. Much of Kent has been built on with not a lot left! So a brand that is helping to support cool organisations like Beaver Trust and Wildwood Trust is a dream to work with: not just by supporting these guys but also having my own designs showcased!"
