    Support one of Britain’s most beloved and endangered mammals with our Hedgehog Mix Seed Balls: wildflowers chosen to create food-rich habitats that hedgehogs need to thrive. With populations down by 50% since the early 2000s, even a small patch of native planting can offer vital shelter and a source of insects for hungry hedgehogs.

    Each tin contains 20 seed balls made from UK native seeds including Yellow Rattle, Wild Carrot, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Tufted Vetch, Self Heal and Poppy. These plants are perfect for drawing in the invertebrates hedgehogs love to snack on, while also contributing to healthier, more diverse garden ecosystems.

    Handmade in the UK using clay, peat-free compost and a pinch of chilli powder to protect seeds from pests, these balls are best scattered in spring or autumn. Each tin covers 1 square metre or fills 3–5 pots—ideal for wildlife-friendly gardens of any size.

    Coverage for 5 square metres in a garden bed or 15-25 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball).
